Over the summer . . . Somehow . . . In contrast to all of the other bad news and despair the algorithm send TKC . . . Rap diva Latto's track "Lottery" came across our feed. It's not our style and runs counter to our recent efforts to listen to more classical music . . . But the song is just FUN and has powered a great many of our blogging sessions . . . Keep and open mind and join TKC in dancing around your workstation when nobody is looking.

A recent statement from the Missouri Lottery might offer a perspective on desperate times and people looking for some kind of hope that doesn't require a great deal of advertising . . . Here are the numbers:
"According to national lottery data, Missouri's fiscal year 2024 advertising budget of 0.31 percent of sales ranks 44th out of the 46 states that sponsor a lottery. For Fiscal Year 2023, the Lottery had an advertising budget of 0.02 percent of sales, which was the smallest advertising budget of any of the 45 states (plus the District of Columbia) that sponsor a lottery."
