Actually, these suggestions from the former KC morning anchor are pretty great and worth sharing.

Here are his suggestions . . .  

1) hire with diversity of thought and political ideology in mind, not just race and gender.

2) allow true dissension without repercussions in the editorial and gate keeping process.

3)  adhere to an oath similar to a Hippocratic oath physicians take but for journalists. “Always tell the truth”

4) make clear distinctions between factual reporting and editorial commentary programs and content. Visual labels for television and print. Auditory advisories for radio and streaming.
