New Jackson County Legislature Chair Reports Death Threats

The first Latino leader to serve as the chair of the Jackson County Legislature has been an outspoken critic of ICE in his first week of service . . . As a result, we notice a recent post where he reveals a consequence of his advocacy . . . Here's the word and a link to more info . . . 

"Tremendous honor to be selected by my collegians to lead. 

"I have been receiving death threats via social media for my legislative efforts, and

"Apparently with a bigger title, I become a bigger target so political attacks I hear are forthcoming-so don’t believe whatcha may hear-take the source and the party to judge the weight."
