It only took about a decade to burn close to ten million bucks fighting a "food desert" that never really existed in the first place . . . So this new round of "urban financing" ahead of the midterm elections should be even more efficient . . . Here's a preview:
"After announcing that United Market KC would be taking over the space, more city money and a focus on security hallmarked a meeting of the Linwood Shopping Center’s Community Improvement District board on Wednesday.
"Kansas City’s council is expected to continue finalizing details of the store’s funding in the next week, and the store is still expected to open in April of 2026."
