Tonight we gauge local reaction to nationwide controversy following most local news outlets reporting the Kansas City neighborhood connection to a woman shot & killed during an altercation with ICE.
There was also a protest at Mill Creek Park earlier this afternoon . . . Here's reporting on a gathering of at least a couple of hundred without much notice downtown near City Hall . . .
"The Party for Socialism and Liberation and the advocacy group Boots on the Ground Midwest are holding a rally in Kansas City after Renee Good was shot and killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer in Minneapolis on Wednesday . . .
"As of 6 p.m., crowds have gathered at Ilus W. Davis Park in downtown Kansas City.
"Organizers said the rally is meant to protest what they describe as ICE enforcement practices nationwide."
