Usual suspect Kansas City activists ramp up criticism against an impending ICE facility and this time around they've struck a chord with one of the biggest law firms in town.
Insiders wonder if most of these commies/baristas in training know that Polsinelli is the city's top legal firm and there are SO MANY pressure points wherein 12th & Oak could lean on their legal representatives.
Meanwhile . . . Even more hilariously . . .
Obviously the tatted-up, craft-beer drinking, tattoo-having hipsters are getting personal and we don't blame the suits for taking notice and maybe getting a bit nervous.
This morning the newspaper would rather put the developer on blast because they're chicken . . . The activist play against Polsinelli is ACTUALLY much more serious than most locals understand because it's clear that SOMEBODY has already sniffed out the connections to Mayor Q and Council.
For those who haven't seen it yet . . .
Here's the local social media blast that should give our cowtown sharks something more fun to talk about whilst savoring all those billable hours . . . Check-it:
"Platform Ventures is on the verge of a deal with DHS to sell a 920,000 square foot warehouse to be used as an ICE human caging facility. KC’s biggest law firm, Polsinelli, is representing them in the sale. But Kansas Citians have been loud and clear: we don’t want this in our community."
