More bad news for this embattled KC south side school district that also FAILED accreditation hopes earlier in the year . . . Check-it:
"The school board is expected to take action on Thursday on two recommendations that would save the district more than $12 million combined.
"The first recommendation involves cutting staff and services to save more than $9 million. The district is looking to reduce custodial staff, lunch aides, the director of communications, assistants to the office of the superintendent, language pathologists, two high school teachers and more.
"The second recommendation would save a little more than $3 million through school consolidation. Under the plan, all sixth graders would go to Santa Fe Elementary, which would be repurposed as a sixth-grade center . . ."
