Don't tell anybody . . . But TKC has a begrudging respect for former councilman John Sharp, which is the only kind of respect that really matters . . . Respect that it physically hurts to offer.

The former councilman recently penned a worthwhile book review that offers and optimistic glimpse at the future.
Here at TKC we have a penchant for doom & gloom amid the worsening demise of the American middle-class and the rise of AI that turns 99.9% of us into replaceable slaves comprised of decaying organic matter . . . However . . . Here's a more nuanced view from a local statesman . . .
"These politicians often try to mislead folks into believing that the nation’s economic pie is a fixed size, and that if folks who often have not been compensated fairly for their work such as women, ethnic minorities and immigrants are treated fairly that will take money away from white male workers.
"But what really happens is the nation’s economic pie gets bigger as all workers are compensated fairly and spend their additional earnings while relying less on government assistance that is a drain on our economy."
