Local media proclaiming that "the news could've been worse" doesn't exactly sound like an American Golden Age . . . Check-it:
"The state was above growth-neutral in inventories and delivering products, but was just below the neutral-growth rate on new orders, production and employment. Kansas reported about 10% more workers receiving unemployment compensation over the past couple of months than during the same period last year."
