Show-Me Rural Healthcare Cut 2026

One more sign that nobody on the low-end is enjoying the so-called "Great American Golden Age" that was promised and hasn't yet materialized . . . Check-it: 

"The state has seen 12 rural hospitals close since 2014, while others have been forced to scale back services like obstetrics or specialized providers. This year, nearly 55% of Missouri’s rural hospitals operate at a loss."

As Missouri stares down Medicaid cuts, it seeks federal rural health funding

The Trump administration's budget bill included about $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid. As part of an effort to offset those costs, Congress created the Rural Health Transformation Fund, a $50 billion bucket of money that goes to states.
