Show-Me Racially Charged CNN Report On Missouri Redistricting

Just in case local social media agony aunts don't demand that everyone watch this bit of politically charged tripe for the holidays . . . Check-it: 

 Missouri Republicans led by Gov. Mike Kehoe contend that the new map reflects the values of the state’s voters who backed Trump by a 19-point margin last year. In a statement, Kehoe’s office said he “believes that three congressional members advocating for Kansas City’s interests will benefit the region.”

Kansas City’s political and civic leaders sharply disagree. They say it will dilute the influence of Missouri’s most populous city and of Black voters.

A recently enacted US House map would again make Troost Avenue a dividing line in the community, part of a plan to have Democratic-leaning Kansas City represented by three separate Republican lawmakers.
