North Kansas City Opts Out Of All-Night World Cup Drinking Games

Whilst the nice side of the bridge is no fun after dark . . . This regulatory move is probably prudent and could save a great deal of local heartache . . . Check-it: 

"Members of the North Kansas City council directed staff to draft an ordinance designed to opt out of a state provision. It was designed to allow bars and restaurants to serve liquor 23 hours a day between June 11 and July 19, 2026.

"According to a memo, the city’s Director of Liquor Control told council members he believes it is in the best interest of the city to keep the already established closing times in place during the World Cup."
