KCPD Coat Giveaway 2025

For TKC readers addicted to looking at all things local . . . Just a quick reminder that Kansas City police constantly work to protect the community and, in our view, the job really is public service despite attempts by some activists to villainize OR the blather right-wing talkers who forget that the impact of law enforcement is lost without community cooperation and support.

Accordingly . . . Forgive us a bit of nice news as we continue to struggle getting into the holiday spirit . . .

The Kansas City Police Department is hosted a coat giveaway Thursday night at the KCPD South Patrol Gym to distribute hundreds of new winter coats to those in need.

The event aims to distribute 800 winter coats to children and adults, thanks to donations collected by the KCPD and the community.
