Kansas State Senator Argues Against MAGA Legal Weed Mixed Message

Just for #TBT we check in with a former Kansas City weather dude who now serves as one of the most conservative voices in Sunflower State politics. 

His argument this evening and a question posed to the right-wing . . .

DID PREZ TRUMP BETRAY MAGA WITH LEGAL WEED POWER MOVE?!?! 

Here's the policy debate and a look at the local perspective of this issue along with more reporting . . . 

"Today, the President signed an Executive Order rescheduling marijuana from a Schedule 1 drug to a Schedule 3 drug. This was an ignorant and dangerous move that was based solely on money and politics, and ignored proven science and medicine.

"I am not sure who is advising the President on this matter, but they ignored a lot of people in making this move. And it’s not that Trump didn’t have experts who deal directly with the devastating effects of marijuana trying to stop him. 
Our Kansas Attorney General signed a letter with 15 other Republican AGs urging Trump not to reschedule the drug due to the problems it would create for law enforcement.  

"Chinese, Russian, and Mexican drug cartels are a huge problem in every state, but especially those where marijuana is legal...because it makes it easier to hide!"

Kansas State Senator Mike Thompson: "At a time when the Trump administration is waging a war on drugs against Venezuelan drug cartels, he just legitimized the use of a dangerous and addictive drug that ruins lives and creates physical and mental health problems. It’s hypocritical."
