The local civic set get antsy when Kansas City starts asking questions . . .
And so . . . This report might have gone under the radar for those who aren't locked into municipal discussions but right now it's worth a peek . . . Here's a quote:
"This week, some residents received the questionnaire, which focused on their feelings about whether the city's 1% earnings tax ought to be extended another five years, as well as whether the city should issue $750 million in bonds to support expanding and improving its waterworks system. The City Council soon will take up ordinances approving ballot language for both questions to be posed during the April 7 general municipal election.
"But near its end, the survey asked 'just one more question' on 'another topic of public interest:' 'How strongly would you support or oppose using tax dollars generated at Arrowhead Stadium to keep the Chiefs in Kansas City at Arrowhead Stadium?' Respondents could answer that they either strongly support or oppose, or somewhat support or oppose the idea.'
