Kansas City Progressive Public Radio Kaput In 2026 Amid Kangaroo Forced Move?!?

This Christmas isn't so bright for dozens of local journalists who are selling t-shirts in order to survive and looking at a dismal future as the city college has kicked them to the curb in order to protect their own funding.

Sadly . . . Their mistake follows a right-wing axiom . . .

Go woke, go broke.

Sure . . .

Progressive advocacy was a great biz when corporate donors and government money kept Professor Kraske and his cadre of acolytes gainfully employed . . . But now a welfare from big biz and the "K-shaped economy" amid an upcoming divisive midterm season has caused the well to run dry.

What's worse is that pleasing politicos is a losing proposition, they simply want to exploit everyone living under their influence at the expense of journalistic integrity and in the end they're never pleased.

The currently preferred model for political outlets is prog blogs and right-wing websites that preach to the choir and are safely tuned out by everyone else.

And all of this leaves KCUR, literally, out in the cold.

Don't feel too sorry for them . . .

The new KCUR profit model is sound and even the nerdiest, hipster gal sporting retro, square flat-top glasses & a pancake booty can STILL attain an appropriate "sugar daddy" to fulfill her needs without sacrificing too much.

That's our take . . . Here's a story with a bit more mainstream reporting . . .

"KCUR and the other tenants at 48th Street and Troost Avenue found out about the move on Monday. Classical KC is a classical music station also located in the building along with two other tenants, KC STEM Alliance and KC Repertory Theatre.

"The university had been talking about decommissioning the building and recent safety checks forced them to fast forward those plans.

"According to KCUR’s general manager, moving two radio stations on short notice is complex and resource-intensive, particularly following so closely after the loss of federal funding earlier this year."
