Kansas City Crossroads No Longer Trendy?!?

Feel free to argue here because there's a very good chance that a longtime basement blogger doesn't really have any idea what the nextgen really wants . . . 

However . . . 

Pricey public spaces seem out of step with the growing American divide betwixt rich & poor. 

Accordingly . . .

The egalitarian artsy district seems to be having trouble adapting. 

Here's one example out of many with an optimistic hope of turnaround . . .  

With two more Open Mic Nights and more than a month left on its lease at Afterword Tavern & Shelves - a cozy corner hotspot where patrons leisurely bond over drinks and good reads - the popular Crossroads third-space isn't finished telling its story despite losing the space to its new landlord, said Kate Hall.
