Kansas City Confronts Trash Crisis 2025 After Snowfall

For many residents in the central core of our cowtown, five inches of snow have shut down trash pickup in Kansas City.

To wit . . .

TODAY TKC RECEIVED MORE THAN HALF A DOZEN MESSAGES COMPLAINING ABOUT TRASH PILING UP ON STREETS FROM WESTSIDE TO WALDO!!!

The best we can help . . .

According to city hall, Monday collection was cancelled and will have to wait till next week.

That might not help so many bags scattered across the street and rodents of all kinds feasting.

For those who haven't been picked over . . . It's time to haul those EPIC bins back to their storage place and wait patiently.

"To continue prioritizing snow operations and driver safety, Solid Waste services like trash, recycling, leaf & brush and bulky item collection will not take place on Monday, December 1 or Tuesday, December 2. Monday’s services are cancelled, and Tuesday’s services are postponed by one day. Residents with a Monday collection date will be allowed to set out extra bags on their next collection date (Monday, December 8, 2025) to make up for the cancelled day of service."
