Kander Contends 'Illegal Order' Against Venezuelan Boat Amid Hegseth Crisis

First and foremost . . .

We kinda have to thank Kansas City Democratic Party campaigner and veterans advocate Jason Kander for sharing his perspective given that he's really the only local connection to this hot topic that's dominating international headlines.

Agree or disagree . . . His perspective helps start the conversation.

TKC snark and just another moment of doubt for local readers:

Even a brief history of Grenada and Manny Ortega teach us that U.S. Presidents with bad polling numbers have repeatedly used Latin America as a punching bag. It's a cynical strategy but it works if only because smacking around a third world country inspires notions of "American Exceptionalism" for voters who need an excuse to feel happy as the American middle-class continues to fade.

Downside: War with Venezuela will only ASSURE more migrants, amnesty & citizenship for its citizens which is what has always happened after EVERY American military conflict.

That's our crackpot theory which only (barely) appeals to Gen-X old-heads who stopped believing in anything a long time ago . . .

Meanwhile . . .

Jason Kander has garnered the love of Kansas City progressives and Democratic Party voters with his far more inspiring perspectives . . . Here's the latest:

"Aside from the extremely dubious question of whether the occupants of the Venezuelan boat even qualified as 'combatants,' order a second strike from an aircraft for the sole purpose of killing defenseless people was absolutely an illegal order."
