The most "progress" we've seen against Kansas Republicans is merely demographic shifts and a great many 30-something working-class white ladies with sons named "Jayden" who aren't dating anymore and have plenty of time to engage in politics. 

Meanwhile . . . Here's a more thoughtful perspective . . . 

To break the veto-proof supermajority, Democrats need to pick up five (5) seats in the Kansas House.

But here’s the catch:

First, we must first protect our moderate incumbents. If we flip five seats but lose even one incumbent, the math collapses. And let’s be honest — a few incumbents in Johnson County had razor-thin margins in 2024. Every vote matters.
