Kansas City police are still searching for the people responsible for causing $300,000 in damage to the century-old Folly Theater. The damage happened in late October. Investigators are still asking the public for tips about the crime.
A spokesperson for the theater said the vandals destroyed every monitor in the main lobby and shattered bar glasses throughout the theater. The vandals grabbed fire extinguishers and sprayed white foam across the stage and left the orchestra level seats are covered in residue.
The remaining repairs are not impacting productions and concerts at the theater according to a spokesperson. A busy holiday season is underway.
The Heartland Men’s Chorus opens its holiday concert series Friday, Dec. 5. Other events are scheduled throughout the month . . .
