Here's the latest . . .
"Gail McCann Beatty filed the lawsuit against the county on Dec. 22 in Jackson County Circuit Court, according to court records.
"The lawsuit claims a number of legislators interfered beginning in 2023, introducing resolutions to override what Beatty contends were lawful assessments, as well as putting pressure on the Missouri State Tax Commission to take action."
