Country Club Plaza Stays Losing Yet Another Kansas City Biz

There's a theory that local places and unique offerings will save luxury retail . . . That might be correct but it's not more important than people feeling SAFE to shop at a formerly iconic location.

Accordingly . . .

Here's a roundup of the latest loss . . .   

Nickel and Suede announced that their Nichols Street location would be closing after five years in the Plaza. The fashion and accessory store will be open for one last day on Dec. 31.

“It’s with a heavy heart I share that we have made the difficult decision to close our Plaza store at the end of this year,” the store’s owner, Kilee Nickels, wrote on Facebook.

Locally-owned business to close its doors in Country Club Plaza at end of year

Another Kansas City Metro-owned business is closing its door in the Country Club Plaza, the business announced on Saturday.
