Attack In Olathe, Fractured 85-Year-Old Woman's Skull

Another aftermath report with more horrific deets that speak to rougher suburban life . . . Check-it: 

"Officers found an 85-year-old woman lying on the ground with lacerations to her skull, nose and forehead, according to the affidavit. The lacerations were so deep the woman’s nasal bone was visible.

"The woman was taken to a hospital, where she underwent surgery and was placed in the ICU, according to the affidavit. The woman was diagnosed with 'facial fractures.' 

"A witness told officers that he was leaving a store in the area and was putting bags into his vehicle when he heard a scream, according to the affidavit. When he ran toward the sound, he saw a man, allegedly 50-year-old Christopher Brewer, use a hammer to hit a woman on the head.

"The witness reportedly ran toward Brewer and got between him and the woman, according to the affidavit. Other witnesses assisted the man.

"Brewer allegedly kept the hammer in his hand until police arrived, according to the affidavit. During a search of Brewer, officers recovered a small bag of marijuana and a pipe."
