THE PLAZA DEMANDS TAXPAYERS GIVE UP NEARLY A QUARTER BILLION IN TAX BREAKS FOR LUXURY SKYSCRAPERS!!!

This morning ... We share a quick missive sent our way that offers a juxtaposition with suburban life that riffs on a recent message shared by Mayor Q . . . Here's the word . . . 

You know what happened???? 

"In January 2016, the previous owner Highwoods Properties announced a sale of the Plaza to a joint venture of Taubman Centers and The Macerich Company (the joint venture named Country Club Plaza KC Partners LLC) for $660 million. Then in May 2020 a jack*ss pandering mayor knelt in front of a crowd and yelled “no justice, no peace” and trashed his police department. Peggy Dunn, the mayor of Leawood simply made sure the police knew she had their backs in case any violence erupted. Lucas destroyed $440 million in property value in one stupid move."

Mayor Q On FB: "In 2024, the Plaza was sold for $175 million.  By comparison, last summer Leawood's Town Center Plaza and Crossing was sold for $289 million."
