After a surprise shutdown . . . Owners explain the sitch to so many local fans of the South Side java institution . . . Here's a quick quote, a couple of links an hope that the place finds a way to come back.

"We had no intention of such an abrupt closure. Two employees were in initial talks, nothing contracted, to buy the business but changed their mind.  They told us by text while we were overseas, and then took it upon themselves to tell our staff to find new jobs, accepted new jobs for themselves, and told our regular customers that we would likely be closed by week’s end.

"I’m back in KC, but we do not have definitive next steps at this time.   We are currently processing and making decisions about what to do next."
