Post-Election: MAGA Demise Confronts Kansas City & Nation?!?

Objectively, last night was rough for American conservatives.

A global shakeup in New York City should resonate across the world as American voters in our biggest city have now fully embraced socialism for better and mostly worse

Also . . .

An important flip in the governorship of Virginia shouldn't go ignored by close political watchers.

Media spin must also be considered . . .

A podcaster slap fight cosplaying and identifying as a "civil war" isn't helping conservatives to look competent at the outset of an American recession.

The mainstream takeaway from last night . . .

AP: Democrats dominate as economic woes take a toll on Trump’s GOP. Takeaways from Election Day 2025

Accordingly . . .

Our main point for TKC readers that we hope to talk about objectively . . .

DO LOCAL ELECTION RETURNS SIGNAL VOTERS MOVING AWAY FROM MAGA???

That's gotta be very concerning in the middle of two red states . . . Here are the important returns that might reflect a shift in political winds . . . Check-it . . .

Winning Prairie Village push back against the effort to abandon Mayor-Council government was REALLY about rezoning and the ongoing beef that many progressives have with homeowners who want to preserve the integrity of their "perfect" suburb.

A bit of nuance here . . . Opponents of re-zoning represent a bi-partisan coalition of neighbors upset with Mayor Eric Mikkelson and his supporters. HOWEVER . . . Their opponents, who garnered success last night, were CERTAINLY PROGRESSIVE and painted resistance against re-zoning as racist and "Trumpian" in  their social media campaign.

Sorry . . . We gotta score this one for the progressive side according to election numbers.

The Independence School vote rejected complaints from parents and, instead, relied upon PROGRESSIVE efforts at teacher retention and education reform.

Again . . .

Notice local voters turning their back on populist sentiment and siding with so-called experts.

Finally . . .

The Dotte picked diverse female leadership which, like it or not, seems to be a trend in Kansas of all places.

And so . . .

We ask www.TonysKansasCity.com readers with a bit of skepticism, snark and genuine curiosity . . . And knowing that all good things come to an end eventually . . .

DID LAST NIGHT'S VOTE START THE BEGINNING OF THE END FOR THE MAGA MOVEMENT AT HOME & ACROSS THE NATION?!?!

You decide . . .
