Newsflash: Former Kansas City Star Scribe Despises MAGA?!?

It seems that the septuagenarians who formerly worked in local print media have discovered Substack and look to build an online following of like minds rather than cultivate relationships in the real world.

Accordingly . . . 

We like that former KC Star newsie Dan Margolies is now sharing his editorial brilliance by way of digital media . . . In the first year of this blog we debated the dude and he doubted the efficacy of the digital medium and predicted the continued dominance of the newspaper . . . And then he moved on to public radio. Now, again, he's partnering with a tech company that believes pocket change will facilitate American discourse.

But I digress . . .

Here's the local angle as Mr. Margolies regurgitates talking points from the AP earlier this year along with doubtful Visit KC numbers . . .   

"The World Cup promises to be the biggest sporting event in Kansas City history. The city anticipates it will draw up to 650,000 people.

"It would be a shame if trump, as he does with everything he touches with his short vulgarian fingers, befouls it."
