HOBO HANGOUT PROBS DOWNTOWN REVEAL STARK REALITY FOR KANSAS CITY'S STRUGGLING DEVELOPMENT GAME!!!

 Put simply . . .

Insiders have spend BILLIONS to boost downtown but sketchy liquor stores still dominate the landscape despite best efforts.

Here's part of the aftermath . . .

From August of 2023 to August of this year, the Kansas City Police Department was called to the Downtown Market at 11th Street and Grand Boulevard 184 times.

The Mayor's Office says the calls were for drug activity and public intoxication, round-the-clock presence of incapacitated individuals, repeated disturbances and fights and armed violence, including a shooting in January.

"What was supposed to be a grocery store, a place for snacks, became a full-out liquor store with people passed out during the day, numerous 911 calls and all types of challenges," the mayor said.

The mayor's office sent a formal cease-and-desist letter last month documenting violations of city code and liquor code provisions, but the business kept operating.
