Many Kansas City Conservatives Condemn Catholics Against MAGA

We saved this post on the Kansas City faith community crisis of conscience regarding La Migra tactics for Sunday because it deserves special consideration.

Here's a brief overview of the sitch . . .

“special message” published Wednesday by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, approved by more than 95 per cent of members at their fall assembly in Baltimore, delivered a harsh rebuke of immigration policies

“We are disturbed when we see among our people a climate of fear and anxiety around questions of profiling and immigration enforcement,” the bishops said in a video recording, adding that they were “saddened by the state of contemporary debate and the vilification of immigrants.”

MAG CONSERVATIVES CLAP BACK AGAINST CATHOLIC CRITICISM!!!

Here's one example out of many . . .

From our vantage . . . Here's the more interesting question . . .

HOW SHOULD CONSERVATIVE CATHOLICS COPE WITH MAGA ATTACKS AGAINST THE CHURCH?!?

It's always rougher when former friends fight.

This week . . . TKC friend Pete Mundo shared critical local debate on this topic and offered his perspective on the local Catholic/Conservative divide . . .

"WHY doesn't the Catholic Church use it's global influence to help folks in Central/South America, where they are the dominant religion? This will help them and maybe dissuade them from trying to break OUR laws to enter this country.

"And where was the Catholic Church condemning Biden's policies that led to the trafficking of children into this country, castration and sexual mutilation of children, and, of course, abortion?

"I was raised Catholic, and not that I needed another reminder on being grateful we left the Catholic Church and found a great, new church home, but this is another one for me.

"Follow Jesus. Not these charlatans who have tied Christ to their political agenda. (And I'll add, some pastors who have tied themselves to Trump are charlatans, too)."
