Sadly, the local struggle against "sideshows" and street takeovers has yet to take hold in Kansas City despite increased effort from police and politicos.

Neighbors seemed proud of the recent construction that even had some elements of "traffic calming" that didn't work against the late night ruffians.

A recent street painting is now basically destroyed and no longer offers an image of KCMO civic pride.
