Kansas City Starts Building Temporary Jail To Secure World Cup

Today we share as good of an excuse as any to move forward public safety that might offer some local benefit given the revolving door for local low-end crooks . . . 

"The proposal, sponsored by Councilmember Crispin Rea, calls for a 54,000-square-foot detention center with about 100 beds, plus parking for staff and visitors.

"Under the plan, detainees may be held for a maximum of 14 days before going through a bonding or release process.

"They would then be transported to the Kansas City South Patrol Station.

"The approved design includes a 12-foot fence with razor wire around portions of the drive access, the employee parking area and the building."
