The implication here is open to interpretation . . . The settlement is VERY REAL and taxpayers will have to pick it up one way or another . . . Check-it:

"That appearance came after the city agreed to a $3.5 million wrongful death settlement with multiple families connected to the victims – meaning the case would not go to trial.
"At the meeting, she called for accountability and answers from the department."
