Kansas City 'Gas Station Heroin' Scare 2025

Obviously a lot of this coverage seems like a collab with lawyers, politicos and law enforcement . . . 

Still, we should probably notice one of many alleged hazards at local gas stations that might or might not be worse than the hot dogs . . . 

Check-it:  

Within the plant is a small percentage of a compound known as 7-hydroxymitragynine (7OH). A local business owner in Kansas City learned how to produce 7OH on its own and has sold it over the counter for the last two years. The rise in popularity with kratom's derivative, 7OH, has led some addiction prevention advocates to coin it with a new name. 

"It's definitely gas station heroin," Healing House KC Recovering Housing Manager Joey Thomas said.
