Kansas City Advances Scheme To Give MILLIONS To Plaza Skyscrapers

This week's slap in the face to taxpayers and anyone with a sense of fairness.

COUNTRY CLUB PLAZA DEVELOPERS WILL EARN MILLIONS IN FREE MONEY FROM MAYOR & COUNCIL TO BUILD EPIC SKYSCRAPERS!!!

And here's where it's gets really fun . . .

The surprise coming is that this effort will bring A LOT OF SUBSIDIZED PUBLIC HOUSING UNITS to the formerly iconic and always embattled entertainment district . . . And THAT is the move that local news and your council members don't want to talk about with ANYBODY.

For now . . .

Here's the bailout that will likely ruin this town and make everything about this historic part of town a distant memory . . .

"Kansas City’s Tax Increment Financing Commission approved a proposal Tuesday to use tax dollars to help pay for public infrastructure improvements on the County Club Plaza.

"The TIF plan now goes to the Kansas City, Missouri, City Council for final approval. That vote could happen next month.

"Under the plan, which received preliminary approval Tuesday, the Plaza would receive $110 million over 30 years.

"The TIF would redirect a portion of sales, hotel, utilities and earnings taxes. The city would also pledge another $30 million to the project, with the possibility of $100 million total."
