Of course . . . At least according to our favorite local newsies who blame all of the world's suffering on your mom's SUV.

Here's "progress" on community conversations about a local stretch of road that our blog community calls "The Highway Of Death." 

Also worth remembering . . .

The busted state of this road is mostly due to "conversation" in the 90s that decided to put street lights on a highway against the advice of transit experts . . . A decision that has cost FAR TOO MANY LIVES since its horrific inception.

Check-it . . .  

"Nine months into a community engagement period, the city has published three potential alternatives for the highway whose construction led to the destruction of 2,000 homes and upended the lives of 25,000 people in majority Black neighborhoods."
