Kansas City 2025 Homicide #128: Woman Shot Dead

Sadly, this is happening just the way it does every year . . .

Counterintuitively, homicides ramp up as we approach the holidays as economic harsh times and so many pressure of the holiday season are often too much to handle . . . What's worse is that this year domestic violence has been spike and this trend seems to be continuing.   

Even worse . . .

This is the third Kansas City homicide in the last three days.  

Accordingly . . . We count the latest deadly shooting by way of local news links and info that police are sharing with media . . . Check-it: 

Homicide 55th and Wabash 

Tonight just after 7:30pm officers were dispatched to the area of 55th and Wabash on the sound of gunshots.

On arrival officers checked the area and located a vehicle mid block to the south in the east side alley. Inside the vehicle officers located an adult female shooting victim unresponsive.

Officers called for EMS who responded to the scene and declared the victim deceased at the scene.

Homicide detectives are now at the scene canvassing for any witnesses. Crime scene investigators are processing the scene for evidence.

There is not any preliminary information about what led up to the shooting, nor any suspect information yet. Indication is that the shooting happened at this location in the alley though.
