Here's a passage by way of documentation for those of us who missed it first time around . . .  

LeVota said he has already selected the person who will be his chief of staff. He said he approached Raytown Alderman Theresa Garza and she accepted his officer.

Garza was elected alderman in 2023. Before joining Raytown city government, she was a Jackson County legislator.

Longtime KC political watchers might remember that she exited a KCMO council race after residency issues as well.
