"The 7500sf building, which is the oldest within the Downtown Loop, was to be redeveloped into commercial space. Construction began shortly after (Developer Chris) Sally purchased the property with a new roof being added, tuckpointing work completed, and the original window sizes were cut back into the second story. The property eventually showed up on commercial real estate listings as a “for lease” option for both office and retail space.
"But it seems like plans might be changing a bit here as a preliminary project code meeting was requested yesterday by Chris Sally and architects from DRAW. The change of plans calls for the upper floor to be turned into 3 apartments (a change from the office space) while the first floor and basement become a restaurant space."
