Crossroads Pleads For Kansas City Police Patrols & Drones Amid Crime Wave

This month the reality of local crime disputes "news" of a crime drop from politicos & authorities in Kansas City. 

To wit . . .

CROSSROADS SEEMS DESPERATE FOR MORE POLICE PROTECTION & EVEN SUBMITS TO DRONE SURVEILLANCE!!! 

That kind of desperation is notable for an egalitarian and hipster part of town that isn't always so accepting of law enforcement authority. 

Accordingly . . . 

Three homicides this week and continued car & biz break-ins confirm that locals aren't buying Mayor Q's argument of a crime drop.  

And so we share the urban core cry for help at the outset of the holidays and the latest American recession:  

"Neighbors in the Crossroads say they’ve been living in fear as broken windows, stolen cars and vandalism have become routine. But a new plan could change everything, giving the community hope for relief from the ongoing crime wave . . .

The proposal calls for off-duty Kansas City police officers to walk the streets and patrol the Crossroads. The plan also includes installing a nearby launchpad for a drone to help officers better respond to calls."
