Kansas State Rep. Bill Sutton, R-District 43
Nan Tolson, Texas Conservatives Concerned About the Death Penalty
Krisanne Vallaincourt Murphy, Catholic Mobilizing Network

Kansas Rep. Bill Sutton holds a consistent ethic on his votes on life issues.  Given his years on the House Appropriations Committee, he has a deep understanding of public policy and the death penalty’s fiscal impact.  “The death penalty isn’t justice; it’s a fiscal black hole.”

Nan Tolson, Director of Texas Conservatives Concerned About the Death Penalty, stated, "More and more conservatives are recognizing that the death penalty is incompatible with pro-life values. We have a moral obligation to respect all life, whether innocent or guilty.”

"Catholics are called to build up a culture of life. Core to our faith understanding is that God has bestowed a sacred dignity on each and every person, regardless of the harm one has suffered or caused.” said Krisanne Vallaincourt Murphy, Executive Director of Catholic Mobilizing Network, a national organization that mobilizes Catholics to value life over death.

Following the panel presentation there will be a question-and-answer session, as well as information on the 2026 legislative session.
