TikTok THOT Scammer Takes Clay County Dude For $120K

Maybe the male loneliness epidemic is for realz

However . . .

There's no question that constant scammers and online catfishing schemes continually target local dues who often seem carelessly in search of love.

Here's the latest report that we hope doesn't harden the heart of locals but INSTEAD offers more info and guidance into what online solicitations are REALLY after . . . Hint: It's money, it's always money.

Check-it:

According to a Facebook post from the Clay County Sheriff's Office, since March of this year, a local man has lost an estimated $120,000 to an individual claiming to be a woman named "Lisa."

Lisa reportedly initiated a conversation with the man via TikTok seven months ago. She eventually asked the man to move the conversation to the Telegram app -- an encrypted messaging app that the sheriff's office says makes it harder for law enforcement to access and track conversations with scammers.

Over the course of their conversations, the scammer and victim built a "relationship." During this time, Lisa reportedly had several "emergencies" and kept asking for money for car repairs or gas.

Eventually, Lisa said she needed help paying taxes on her mother's house so she could sell it. She reportedly told the man she would pay him back when it was sold.

Before paying, though, the man told a family member about the relationship. They then told the man it was a scam.
