Show-Me Posthumous Social Media Lawsuit Against Politicos Moving Forward

This one is important because the case argues that late-breaking news re-posted by politicos caused the guy a great deal of misery before his demise . . . Surprisingly, the legal argument persists . . . Meanwhile, the case law is kinda vague and we shouldn't forget that X owner Elon Musk won a defamation case not so long ago when he called one of his critics "pedo guy" amid an intense discussion.

Missouri Secretary of State Denny Hoskins and state Sen. Rick Brattin face allegations that they linked Denton Loudermill to the February shooting on social media and falsely called him an illegal immigrant.

Loudermill, who has since died, was born in the United States and was never accused of firing any shots during the rally incident.

The two Republican officials had sought to have the case dismissed, but a judge ruled Tuesday that the lawsuit can proceed.
