Pricey Kansas City Toy Train Streetcar Proclaims Budget Victory

The financial flex is because of this fact . . . At over $100 million per mile, Kansas City may have just built the most expensive streetcar system in the country.

Meanwhile . . .

None of the economic data informs us of all the local small biz & residents shut down & pushed out thanks to toy train efforts at gentrification and real estate speculation. 

Of course, as always, we'll share the bright side . . . 

"Kansas City’s director of transportation told City Council members last month there is money leftover from the $350 million project to use on enhancements to the extension to improve the user experience.

"Money saved from the extension still has to be spent on streetcar-related projects, so the plan is to use about $7 million in unspent money on a long list of concepts."
