Legal Weed Outcry Amid Kansas City Pop-Up Marijuana Trending

We've been working a couple of days on this story that seems to be gaining steam behind the scenes.

At first, we didn't know how to approach it . . .

This one was sent our way kinda like a "clean up" Kansas City and protect local jobs . . . But that kinda thing isn't really very captivating given that TKC never had the energy to be a crusader for anything other than the fight for the right to party with chubby women in their mid-to-late 30s.

Instead . . . After asking around . . . We present this post merely as relevant local info that scumbags learn first and journalists have to clean up in order to make it presentable for boomer news readers several weeks later.

The basics that will benefit readers, cannabis industry watchers and even local hustlers trying to scrape a few bucks out of the current cash crop boom . . .

LEGAL WEED DISPENSARIES PUSH BACK AGAINST KANSAS CITY POP-UP SHOPS SELLING UNLICENSED PRODUCT!!!

A bit more insight into how this story evolved . . .

Sent our way . . .

A number of screenshots of local pop-up venues and even branded illicit product and sophisticated marijuana machinery capable of producing a high volume of cigarettes.

Here's the problem . . .

TKC isn't so dumb that we're gonna call out drug dealers by name on this silly-a$$ blog. Sorry, but we didn't survive this long to make that kind of rookie mistake.

Again, this info is a public service for EVERYONE because the conversation going on behind the scenes actually presents an interesting moral dilemma for those of us concerned with public safety for low-end residents:

HOW MUCH SHOULD KANSAS CITY CARE ABOUT PROTECTING LEGAL WEED PROFITS?!?

It's fun to write about but we're not sure where it ranks on the list of cowtown priorities . . . Probably somewhere behind promoting the next pop diva show coming to town.

However . . . In fairness . . .

Legal weed purveyors are now arguing to political leaders that the prevalence of pop-up shops not only undermines their biz but also invites a dangerous black market that could threaten consumers and neighborhoods.

That's a legit argument but here's the reality . . . With respect to how so many of our local Irish friends garnered their generational wealth by way of crime . . .

JUST LIKE THE OLD SCHOOL DAYS OF PROHIBITION: KANSAS CITY NOW SERVES AS AN "OPEN CITY" FOR ALL MANNER OF WEED!!!

The current Missouri legal & regulatory debate is fun for journalists whilst street level locals should understand that laws are always "evolving" and there really isn't any political/moral high ground to achieve when government and sanctioned dealers spar with street level purveyors over weed profits.

Developing . . .
