Kansas City Suffers Double Bank Robbery

Harsh times and rising crime hit the urban core as a local crook proved dangerously productive in taking down Kansas City financial institutions.

Here's the roundup and a vague description that won't do locals much good . . .

"Reports for the first robbery show that around 2 p.m. Wednesday, a suspect entered the US Bank on West Gregory Boulevard, near Wornall Road in the Armour Hills neighborhood. The suspect then demanded currency with a note and left the scene on foot with the money . . .

"The second robbery occurred around 3:30 p.m. at the UMB Bank on Main Street in the Country Club Plaza neighborhood. The suspect appeared to be wearing the same clothing as the suspect who robbed the first bank."
