Kansas City Streetcar Shares New Rules For Toy Train Right Of Way

Posted for the benefit of public safety and because it seems like all of Main Street traffic will have to put this faux transit FIRST on the their minds . . . Check-it: 

The KC Streetcar runs from the City Market to UMKC. On some parts of the route, the KC Streetcar moves with normal traffic. So when you're driving Downtown...share the road, turning lanes are not passing lanes and DON'T DART in front of the streetcar. 

When driving on Main Street between Union Station and UMKC, pay attention to new lane markings and signs, like No Right Turns on Red in certain locations. 

Cars are prohibited from driving in “transit only” lanes. Don’t follow the streetcar into these lanes and remember solid red bars mean no cars! 

Be smart, Be safe. Be ready. Respect the Rail.
