Kansas City Climate Activists Push To Pick New Kansas City Exec

Most of this is silly . . . 

Kansas City climate activists should know that there isn't any public vote after a recall according to the Jackson County Charter. 

What they're really demanding is more attention, influence and power.  

Accordingly . . .

They're running a smear campaign backwards in hopes to trash their opposition . . . For better and worse, our tree-hugging friends don't realize that protest from progressive activists might actually garner more support from local voters. 

Either way . . . Here's their gripe . . .  

And now here’s the wild part: The Jackson County Legislature has 30 days to appoint White’s replacement. No special election. No public input. Just 9 legislators picking someone behind closed doors.

The frontrunner? County Legislature Chair DaRon McGee—who would literally vote for himself and triple his salary.
