Right now there have been 124 homicide so far this year and that's EXACTLY the same place where we were last year.
There has been a double digit spike in deadly domestic violence.
And locals complain of rising car crime . . .
And so . . .
We start the discussion with a claim of poverty despite all that cash on soccer games, local theaters and so many urban monuments . . .

"The Kansas City Police Department is asking for a 21.6% increase in funding for next fiscal year, despite the city’s budget woes. The money is needed for personnel costs, legal settlements, and hiring more officers and 911 call-takers, police said . . . The Kansas City Police Department’s request for a nearly 22% budget increase is “not feasible” while the city faces a $100 million shortfall, Mayor Quinton Lucas said Wednesday."
