Kansas City Activists Organize 'No Kings' Protest Redux

In the upcoming week, progressives prep for the 2.0 version of protest against President Trump, his MAGA movement and the current White House administration.

Last time around the Guv called out the National Guard . . . And then the event was mostly comprised of boomer middle-class white people with a parade type atmosphere.

We're not certain if the sequel will garner much traction . . . The odds for participation are probably better if the government shutdown continues . . .  And so, we can't help but notice more urgent calls to action . . . Check-it:

"The second No Kings protest is scheduled for Oct. 18 — the first was the largest coordinated day of protests during the second term of President Donald Trump.

"So far, about 2,500 events are scheduled nationwide as part of the No Kings protest. Organizers say the protest is about free speech and the First Amendment but that other causes will be championed as well."

Here's the local advert . . .

"Our peaceful movement is only getting bigger and stronger. “NO KINGS” is more than just a slogan—it’s the foundation our nation was built upon. Born in the streets, carried by millions in chants and on posters, it echoes from city blocks to rural town squares, uniting people across this country to fight dictatorship together.

"The president thinks his rule is absolute. But in America, we don’t have kings, and we won’t back down against chaos, corruption, and cruelty. Grow our movement and join us."
